Brendon Eddington, Executive Chef
Harris Farms, Inc. is proud to announce Brendon Eddington as the newly appointed Executive Chef of the Harris Ranch Inn & Restaurant. Eddington boasts a rich and diverse culinary background spanning multiple continents and over 30 years of experience within the industry.
Eddington’s impressive career began with a Culinary Apprenticeship at the Regent Four Seasons in his hometown of Auckland, New Zealand. During his apprenticeship, he was fortunate to represent New Zealand as part of a team of chefs for a 4-week placement in Beijing, China. He worked with Tourism New Zealand to promote New Zealand food products to executive chefs, hotel and restaurant owners, as well as food critics. He would go on to be awarded the Apprentice of the Year – All Trades in New Zealand for his tremendous efforts.
Following his apprenticeship, he would spend the next 10 years of his career at Austin’s Food Design Events. He worked in numerous roles within the company. With hard work and dedication, he would become the Executive Chef and lead a dynamic culinary team of 75 chefs and 30 stewarding staff members. With his leadership, the team was capable of producing top-tier events for any crowd. Events would range from small intimate gatherings to an impressive 5-course dinner for 3,500 people.
His next professional adventure would take him across the Pacific Ocean to North America. In 2008, Eddington would become the Executive Chef for Food in Bloom Catering in Portland, Oregon. Soon, California would call his name. In 2009, Eddington would become the Executive Chef for the impressive Fort Washington Country Club in Fresno.
Adding to his impressive accomplishments, Eddington would join the team at Sysco to become a Center of the Plate/Certified Angus Beef Specialist. After 4 years, he would take his experience to Harris Ranch Beef Company where he would become the Foodservice Brand Specialist. He was instrumental in acquiring new business and educating potential customers on beef quality. He successfully marketed the Harris Ranch Beef brand at food shows for local distributors along with providing training for restaurants and foodservice operations all over California.
In August of 2020, Eddington brought tremendous talent as Chef for the Harris Ranch Express BBQ. With his extensive knowledge and expertise as a beef specialist, he managed to successfully implement the highest standards of quality and consistency for a thriving QSR restaurant.
